For over a century, our family has been living the ranch life in the beautiful Yampa Valley of Northwest Colorado. We’ve been raising animals and working the land since 1907, and we’re so grateful to continue that tradition.
Here at Emerald Mountain Ranch, we specialize in Turkish Boz Shepherds, a livestock guardian dog (LGD) with a reputation for a reason. These aren’t your average dogs; they’re born and raised right here on the ranch, learning their jobs from day one alongside our cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, peacocks, and more! They’re bred from top-notch, health-tested bloodlines and have the instincts to thrive as loyal protectors of herds, homesteads, and livelihoods.
We’re passionate about preserving the legacy of these incredible working dogs, so we’re helping other families and ranches across the country discover their strength. While we’re still running the ranch that’s been in our family for five generations, our mission is to share the power of these guardians with others.
